Daniel L. Burgess, 54, of North Manchester, died at 5 p.m. Jan. 14, 2012, in his residence.
He was born April 22, 1957, in Goshen, to James Andrew and Mary L. “Sue” Taylor Burgess. On June 15, 1991, he married Connie J. Chastain.
He was a computer programmer for Data Management, Warsaw, and owned Country Cedar Lawn Furniture. Since 1991 he owned BIT Computers Inc., North Manchester. He graduated from Manchester High School in 1975 and received a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Manchester College in 1980, where he was a member of the Spartan football team. He was a member of Sycamore Golf Club, North Manchester, and Stonehenge Golf Club, Warsaw, and was a former Little League baseball coach.
Surviving are three brothers, Doug (and spouse Cherie) Burgess and Mike Burgess (and Trisha Hockemeyer), all of Fort Wayne, and Dave (and spouse Dee) Burgess, Tampa, Fla.; a sister, Pam (and spouse Wayne) Fisher, Zionsville. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Christian Fellowship Church, North Manchester, with Pastor Eddie Akins officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
