Daniel K. Luecke, 64, passed away May 9, 2011, in Ojai Valley Community Hospital, Ojai, Calif. He was born Nov. 13, 1946, in Port Huron, Mich., to Kenneth and Marjorie Bowman Luecke, who preceded him in death. On Nov. 19, 1993, in Costa Rico, he married Kristina Baer, who survives. He graduated from Warsaw High School in 1965 and attended Dennison College, Iowa, and Dade Community College, Florida. He spent more than a decade traveling the world conducting interpersonal, cultural and philosophical studies. He possessed a passion for life, adventurous spirit and always valued the journey far more than the destination. Also surviving are a son, Keith Daniel Kelly, Panama City, Fla.; a sister, Beverly (and spouse William) Heiman, Warsaw; a brother, Douglas (and spouse Melody) Luecke, Warsaw; three nephews, J.C. (and spouse Mindy) Stookey, Blaine (and spouse Amanda) Stookey and Blake (and spouse Angela) Luecke, all of Warsaw; a niece, Reed Luecke Reimer, Carmel; two stepsons, Drew Castellini, Maui, Hawaii, and Jay Castellini, Ojai, Calif.; and a stepdaughter, Erin Baer, Oceanside, Calif. A private graveside service will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with a celebration of life at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bill and Bev Heiman’s residence, 1021 W. Hoppus Road, Warsaw.
