MILFORD - Dallas L. Winchester II, 48, of Milford, died at 5:05 p.m. Nov. 25, 2010, in Goshen Hospital.
He was born Feb. 23, 1962, in Wabash, to Dallas L. and Barbara Ross Winchester. He married Elizabeth "Libby" Taylor, who survives.
Moving to Milford from Wabash 24 years ago, he was utilities commissioner for the Town of Milford for 24 years and was co-owner of Bio-Waste processing and Bio-Waste Technologies. He was a member of the Wawasee Community School Board formerly serving as president. He was the recipient of the Prime Mover Award; was the youngest Kosciusko County Democratic Party chairman; was former Van Buren Township Trustee; a member of Milford Area Development, Milford Kiwanis, AWWA Board Committee, Camelot Association Board and KEDC Board of directors; and a former volunteer fireman for the Town of Milford. He graduated from Wabash High School in 1980 and Vincennes University in 1983. He loved the outdoors.
Also surviving are three daughters: Brittany (and spouse Christopher) Sarll, Wabash; Brooke Winchester; Syracuse; and Breanne Winchester, Milford; his mother, Barbara (and spouse Ned) Schuler, North Manchester; a sister, Terri (and spouse Dean) Weaver, Wabash; a granddaughter, Makenzie Sarll; a stepbrother, Troy (and spouse Tina) Schuler, North Manchester; and a stepsister, Jennifer (and spouse Todd) Gearhart, North Manchester. He was preceded in death by his father.
Services will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Wawasee Community Bible Church, 2035 E. CR 1300N, Milford, officiated by Pastor Josh Weiland and at 2 p.m. Friday at Wabash Faith Baptist Church, 200 Linwood Lane, Wabash, with Pastor Dan Boone officiating, followed by entombment in Memorial Lawns Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Wawasee Community Bible Church, Milford, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at Wabash Faith Baptist Church.
Mishler Funeral Home, 461 W. CR 900N, Milford, is in charge of arrangements.
