Dale Samuel Brown, 77, of Warsaw, died at 8:15 p.m. Oct. 10, 2008, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

He was born May 15, 1931, in Wabash, to Walter and Myrtle Rhodes Brown. On Nov. 18, 1995, in North Manchester, he married Mable Colleen Heeter, who survives.

Moving to Warsaw from Wabash, he was self-employed at Brown's Tree Service.

Also surviving are three daughters, Bonnie (and spouse Able) Cervantes, Syracuse, and Sue Rodgers and Robbie See, both of Warsaw; a son, Charles (and spouse Rose) Brown, Warsaw; five stepchildren: Sandra (and spouse Don) Becker, Minden, Neb.; Becky (and spouse Frank) McClelland, Elkhart; Sheryl (and spouse Ned) Bowman, North Manchester; Barbara (and spouse Ray) King, Freetown; and Carol (and spouse Muncie) Hawks, Fancy Gap, Va.; 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jewel Tait, Wabash. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Georgia Brunn.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with the Rev. Donald Becker officiating. Burial will be in Leesburg Cemetery, followed by a dinner at Living Hope Ministries, Warsaw.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
