SYRACUSE - Dale Coleman, 43, of Syracuse, died of an apparent heart attack Aug. 25, 2008, at work.

He was born Jan. 29, 1965, in Pikeville, Ky., to James and Joyce A. Goff Coleman. On Feb. 10, 2006, in Syracuse, he married Sharonald E. Sandlin, who survives.

He attended John's Creek High School, Pikeville. He moved to the Kosciusko and Elkhart counties area from Tennessee about 20 years ago. He was a supervisor at Versatile Manufacturing, Elkhart, since 2007. He formerly worked at Smoker Craft, New Paris; Dana Corp., Syracuse; and Vitco, Nappanee. He was a member of Kosciusko County ABATE Motorcycle Association and formerly attended the Baptist Church in Pikeville.

Also surviving are two sons, Joshua Dale Coleman, Goshen, and Bryton Dale Coleman, New Paris; two stepsons, Wesley and Matthew Weisser, both of Syracuse; his mother, Joyce Coleman, Raccoon, Ky.; and two brothers, Donald (and spouse Gloria) Coleman, Mt. Juliet, Tenn., and Ronald (and spouse Lana) Coleman, Nashville, Tenn. He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse, with Pastor Brad Cox officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Milford.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
