MENTONE - Cynthia S. Nellans, 53, of 517 N. Broadway St., Mentone, died at 1:32 p.m. Oct. 8, 2008, at University of Chicago Hospital.
She was born Aug. 20, 1955, in Warsaw, to Francis and Judith Rodocker Rickel, who survive in Palestine. On Oct. 5, 1973, she married Brant Nellans, who survives.
She was a homemaker and a mother. A 1973 Mentone High School graduate, she attended Harrison Center Church, Etna Green.
Also surviving are a daughter, Amy (and spouse Eric) Brown, Macy; two sons, Scot (and spouse Alicia) Nellans, LaFayette, and Marc (and spouse Reghan) Nellans, Mentone; a sister, Patricia (and spouse Gary) Bray; two brothers, Francis "Rick" (and spouse Evelyn) Rickel, and Tony (and spouse Janice) Rickel, and four grandchildren: Weston Brown and Benton, Campbell and Caleb Nellans.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Harrison Center Church, Etna Green, with Pastor Bill Stevens officiating. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery.
Calling is from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday at King Memorial Home, Mentone.
