Cynthia ‘Cindy’ Ann OwensCynthia “Cindy” Ann Owens, age 65, of Silver Lake, passed away on Saturday, Sept, 7, 2019, at 5:20 p.m. in Silver Lake.
Cindy was born on Nov. 25, 1953, in Warsaw, to James and Myrtle Byrer Bishop. She was united in marriage to Daniel Owens on Nov. 21, 2015, in Silver Lake.
She graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 1972 and continued on to receive a degree from Wayne Cosmetology School in 1974.
Cindy was the owner of Cindy’s Oil Cup & Back Porch Bait Store in Silver Lake, of which she was quite proud. She was also formerly employed by Paragon Medical from 1997 until she retired in 2015 as a customer service representative. She attended Warsaw Community Church, where she served in the Sunday School and Pre-School Ministries.
Cindy is survived by husband, Daniel Owens, of Silver Lake; children, Amanda (Jason Rivich) Miller, of Winona Lake; Jason (Alecia) Miller, of Wilmington, N.C.; Travis (Katie) Miller, of Warsaw; Shawnte (Michael) Frieden, of Roann; Austin (Corrine) Owens, of Warsaw; Danielle (Logan Frye) Owens, of Warsaw; siblings, Robert “Bob” (Waneta) Bishop, of Leesburg; Larry (Emily) Bishop, of Milford; and Judy (Dave) McIntire, of South Bend. In addition, Cindy is survived by grandchildren, Erin, Ethan, Michael, Sofia, Samuel, Lucas, Grayson, Landon, Amarah, Braylon, Presley, Korbin, Nora Lee and Ayla.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday, Sept. 16 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Warsaw Community Church. Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17 also at the Warsaw Community Church with Pastor Denny Wilson officiating.
