Cynthia Ann Askins Keller

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Cynthia Ann Askins Keller, 64, Scottsdale, Ariz., and formerly of Bourbon, passed away Oct. 31, 2015, surrounded by her family.
She was born April 19, 1951, in Plymouth.
She graduated from Triton High School and Palomar College, where she earned her nursing degree. She earned her master’s degree from University of Phoenix in 1989. She loved to share stories of summers at Pretty Lake and adventures with her siblings, many friends and family. She lived life full of faith, song, laughter, dance and service. A talented and caring nurse, she worked for 37 years at Banner Health Services, Phoenix. Her care for others led her on several missions trips to Guatemala, along with years of service in her church.
She spent hours crafting with friends, her daughters, sister and grandchildren, walking in the forest with her husband, dogs and friends at Kamp Keller in Heber, and listening to her son’s guitar.
Surviving are her husband, Stephen; her mother, June Askins; three children, Michelle (and spouse Brent) Reese, Lisa (and spouse Jason) Miller and Matt Keller; dozens of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; and three siblings, Rob (and spouse Diane) Askins, Kent (and spouse Ginger) Askins, and Dawn (and spouse Don) Crowder. She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Askins, who paved the way to heaven for her on Oct. 30, 2015.
A memorial service was Nov. 13 at Scottsdale Presbyterian Church, Scottsdale, Ariz. A celebration of her life will also be held in April 2016 in Indiana.
