After rain forced the North Webster Mermaid Festival Cutie Parade to be rescheduled from Wednesday to Thursday, spectators were in for a flashback to the 1980s. The theme for the festival this year was “Back to the ‘80s,” as the festival is celebrating its 80 years. As part of the children’s pageant, contestants were required to take part in the Cutie Parade. They had the option of walking, motorized units or hand-drawn.
