Criminals

Editor, Times-Union:

On Friday, April 11, Julie Harvey wrote an editorial asking for the pictures of friends, family and pets that had been stolen from her home in the recent Southside break-ins.

I could not help but feel compassion as these pictures meant so much to her. Here, innocent people are in their homes with their children, elderly parents and pets and someone enters the privacy of their homes and steals from them.

Criminals like this deserve nothing less then the maximum punishment allowed by law.

And if they are not caught, maybe they need to be reminded that people have a Constitutional right to protect their families. One day, they may just break into the wrong home and they may get a surprise greeting from the home owner - boom.

Let's hope the police catch them before this happens?
