Criminal Interdiction Patrols On U.S. 31 And U.S. 30 Net Results

On Friday, the Indiana State Police Bremen Post All Crimes Policing Team conducted a criminal interdiction patrol on U.S. 30 and U.S. 31.

Indiana State Police K9 handlers from the Lowell Post and Peru Post, as well as deputies with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department and officers with the Warsaw Police Department, also were involved in the multi-agency cooperative detail.

The focus of this detail was to target criminal activity on U.S. 30 and U.S. 31 in Marshall, Kosciusko and St. Joseph counties.

This patrol netted the following results:

• 49 vehicles stopped: 21 tickets and 25 warnings

• one commercial motor vehicle inspection

• two vehicles impounded





• four individuals arrested on nine different criminal charges

• one arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated on a controlled substance

• Marijuana and heroin were found during the search of two vehicles. Officers in this detail also assisted a Peru trooper in a vehicle pursuit that began in Fulton County on U.S. 31 and ended in Marshall County on U.S. 31.
