County Dispatch Center Has New Director Of OperationsA new director of operations has been named for the Kosciusko County Dispatch Center.

Sheriff Kyle P. Dukes announced today that after an extensive process involving a multi-agency interview committee, Sarah Lancaster was named director of operations.

She began her public safety career in 1999, when she joined the Syracuse Fire and EMS. She began working in the Syracuse Dispatch Center shortly thereafter, according to a news release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office.

In 2005, Lancaster was hired by the Kosciusko County 911 Communications Center and has been the assistant director since 2011. While an assistant director, Lancaster has held the office of secretary-treasurer for the Indiana Association of Public Safety Communications Officials (APCO) and was an APCO regional director until 2019.

Lancaster is a volunteer firefighter with the North Webster Fire and EMS and is working toward her EMT certification.

Dukes said, “I am confident that Lancaster’s abilities and experience will help to lead the county’s communications center in the right direction.”
