AKRON – Cora L. Powers, 61, Tippecanoe and Rochester, died at 1:05 p.m. June 3, 2015, at her residence. She was born July 29, 1953, in Tell City, to Martin and Juanita Jackson Bolin. On Dec. 18, 1988, in Springfield, Mass., she married Kevin P. Powers, who survives in Tippecanoe. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Bourbon United Pentecostal Church. She was fond of her family and her dog, Polly. Also surviving are her mother, Juanita Merchant, Tarpon Springs, Fla.; two daughters, Misti (and spouse Adam) Wilkins, Rochester, and Tina Lemire, Brooksville, Fla.; four sons: Shawn Powers, Texas; Josh Bolin, Warsaw; Justin and K.C. Powers, Tippecanoe; several grandchildren; two brothers, Orville Bolin, Pierceton, and Raymond Merchant, Florida; and two sisters, Sondra Straight, Tarpon Springs, and Krystal Starr Bolin, Texas. She was preceded in death by her father, Martin Bolin, and a brother, Wesley Bolin. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W.
