'Conservatives'

Posted
Editor, Times-Union:

I always thought newspapers were supposed to be neutral in their publications. It seems to me that the Times-Union is one-sided.

I am referring to the so-called opinions column. I realize that they are just opinions. But, you do not show opinions of the other side of a given subject. It's like a debate with only one person showing up for the debate.

I am a registered Democrat, which does not make me a liberal. I did not vote for Bill Clinton when he ran for president. In fact, I got out of the military when he won the election. After one year, I realized he was in a temporary position and I signed back up in the Army. I completed my 25 years of service to our country.

I served my country, not a man.

For those of you that voted for George Bush, you deserve all the problems we have today. I am not saying this because he is Republican. "Conservative."

Before he took office, we were paying less than $2 for a gallon of gas, now we are paying $4 for the same gas, not to mention the price of diesel fuel that truck drivers pay, so your grocery bill will go up to. So you get to pay again, not only at the pump but at your favorite store. Good job to all you conservatives.

The conservatives make the rich richer and the poor poorer.

The conservatives are using the fact we are in Afghanistan and Iraq as a tool of accomplishment. A tool to deter terrorism. We are the result of terrorism. Remember the revolutionary war.

It doesn't matter if you are Republican or Democrat, they both go whichever way the wind blows, the so-called public opinion.

I was in Afghanistan. We had reporters there and none of them wanted to go out and get a story. They wanted it brought to them.
