Posted

WINONA LAKE – The Community Arts Program is participating in a Nelson’s Chicken Fundraiser on Saturday, May 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Nelson’s Chicken roaster will be located in the parking lot of JB’s Furniture, 2101 E. Center St., Warsaw. Chicken is available for pre-purchase from any member of the Vocal Vision choir or Community Arts Program board members. Pre-sale tickets are $10. Pit potatoes can be purchased on the day of the fundraiser for $4. Pre-ordered chicken can be picked up between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., according to a news release from the community Arts Program.
“Community Arts Program of Kosciusko County provides artistic outlet and education for all ages,” said Tammy Boggs, Vocal Vision music librarian. “Everything we do requires funding to keep the programs growing. Our community is familiar with Nelson’s Chicken and this partnership will be a great fundraising opportunity."
The money raised will support the annual operations of Vocal Vision Preparatory, Vocal Vision Youth, Vocal Vision and Vocal Vibes.
“We invite people of all ages and musical experience, to learn, enjoy and present choral music to our community,” Boggs said. “The expenses for each performance include purchasing music, the cost of performance space, salaries for our artistic directors, accompanists and instrumentalists. The Nelson’s Chicken Fundraiser opens the door to encourage additional community support.”
Pre-order tickets can be purchased from any member. To locate a member or pre-order a Nelson’s Chicken, message the Community Arts Program directly on the CAPWarsaw Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/CAPWarsaw/ or contact Mike Lewis at mlewis@capwarsaw.com or 574-376-5804.
