Continuously serving Kosciusko County since 1854
Combined Community Services (CCS) announced the return of its annual Food-A-Thon, happening Friday, Nov. 7, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 8, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The event, hosted live by 107.3 WRSW and Willie 103.5 in the CCS lobby, invites the community to come together to help fill the pantry shelves and support families across Kosciusko County during the upcoming winter months, according to a news release from CCS.
During the Food-A-Thon, donations of nonperishable food items and monetary contributions will be collected at the CCS office, 1195 Mariners Drive, Warsaw. Community members can also make secure online donations by visiting www.ccsgives.com.
“Each year, the Food-A-Thon reminds us how powerful our community can be when we come together to care for one another,” said Kiira Churchill, executive director of CCS. “As more families face financial hardships, your donations ensure our pantry remains stocked and our programs continue to provide vital support.”
CCS’s Dane’s Family Food Pantry currently serves nearly 900 households each month, providing essential groceries and household items to local families in need. Funds raised through the Food-A-Thon also support CCS programs that help individuals work toward long-term stability and self-sufficiency.
Community members, businesses, schools and organizations are encouraged to get involved. Sponsorship opportunities are available, and groups can organize food drives, volunteer or bring donations directly during the event.
