NORTH WEBSTER – Clyde Ray Leedy, 76, Pierceton, passed away at 10:35 a.m. April 7, 2014, at Hospice House of the Comforter in Altamonte Springs, Fla. He was born May 16, 1937, in Fort Wayne, to William R. and Hulda S. Volmerding Leedy. On Dec. 20, 1958, in Peru, he married Joyce Ann McMinn, who survives in Pierceton. He graduated in 1955 from North Side High School in Fort Wayne and in 1959 from Purdue University, West Lafayette. He retired after 36 years as a registered pharmacist and past president of Keltsch Pharmacy, Fort Wayne. He grew up in the Fort Wayne area, was a summer lake resident near Pierceton until moving there permanently in 1985, and he was a winter resident of Avon Park, Fla. He was a member of the North Webster Church of God, Pierceton Masonic Lodge #377, Kosciusko County Shrine Club & Mizpah Shriners and a former member of the Sol D. Bayless Masonic Lodge #359, both in Fort Wayne, and he attended the United Methodist Church, Avon Park. Also surviving are two daughters, Catherine Ann (and spouse Edward) Williams, Auburn, and Julie Marie (and spouse Daniel) Markiewicz, Orlando, Fla.; two sons, William Preston (and spouse Katherine Ward) Leedy, Fort Wayne, and Michael David (and spouse Candince) Leedy, Pierceton; six grandchildren: Christina, Jacob and Sarah Williams; Zachary Leedy; Emily and Alyson Markiewicz; and a sister, Joan Gudas, Leesburg. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind. 13 and CR 500N, North Webster, with Pastor Dennis Judy officiating. Graveside services are at 1 p.m. Monday in the Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, 6600 Covington Road, Fort Wayne.
