Claypool Approves Year-End Ordinances

CLAYPOOL - The Claypool Town Council wrapped up 2022 with ordinances on next year's salaries and holidays at Tuesday night's meeting.
For town employees, a 3% raise was approved. Town holidays remain the same as in years past.
The Council approved a resolution for Clerk-Treasurer Pat Warner to make year-end appropriations transfers to balance the books.
In other business:
• The town renewed their agreements with Baker Tilly and Kosciusko Economic Development Corporation.
• The town agreed to continue paying Faye Neher to open and close cemetery gates. The cemetery is open dawn to dusk.
• Town Marshal Ben Sanders reported 180 calls for service and 150 reserve hours logged in November.
• Council President Benny Stage is pursuing a matching grant up to $20,000 to fund a new emergency tornado siren.
