Claypool Approves Police DVR, Street Sweeper

CLAYPOOL - At Tuesday night's meeting, the Claypool Town Board approved the purchase of a new digital video recorder for the police department and a street sweeper from the town of Silver Lake.

The new DVR costs $225 and will replace the old recorder, which has been malfunctioning. The street sweeper, which is being replaced in Silver Lake, will be purchased for $5,000 with tax increment financing funding, if approved.

The board scheduled a TIF meeting for 6 p.m. Jan. 26.

The emergency and non-emergency ambulance provider contract with Lutheran EMS was approved for 2023.

In other business:

- Town Marshal Ben Sanders reported 170 calls for service and 80 reserve hours logged in December.

The police department received a total of 1,971 calls for service in 2022.

- Benny Stage Jr. remains board president in 2023.

The next regular monthly meeting is 7 p.m. Feb. 21.
