NAPPANEE - Clara May Moneyheffer, 89, formerly of Nappanee, died at 5 p.m. Dec. 22, 2008, in Miller's Merry Manor, Wakarusa, where she resided.
She was born Aug. 6, 1919, in Elkhart, to Nelson VanBuren and Rosa Alta Cripe Fink. On Dec. 6, 1959, she married Henry Moneyheffer, who died Dec. 10, 1977.
A lifetime area resident, she was a homemaker and worked at Uline Manufacturing, Nappanee, many years ago. She attended New Paris Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are two daughters, Goldie (and spouse Marvin) Weldy, Bremen, and Foretta (and spouse Ben) Liniger, Milford; 22 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; 28 great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Bernice Hollar, Nappanee; Mildred (and spouse Alvin) Elliott, Goshen; and Lulu Jean (and spouse Joseph) Kirkpatrick, Cannon, Ky. She was preceded in death by two daughters, two sons, three brothers and a granddaughter.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, with Mike Sommer officiating. Burial will be in South Union Cemetery, Nappanee.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
