HARTFORD CITY - Cindy Kay Maddox, 51, of Hartford City, died unexpectedly at 9:47 p.m. July 29, 2007, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
She was born June 11, 1956, in Wabash, to Eugene and Yvonne Sue Lindzy England. On Jan. 17, 2004, at Vera Mae's Bistro, in Muncie, she married John Richard Maddox Jr., who survives.
She was a 1974 Warsaw High School graduate and attended Indiana and Ball State universities. A homemaker, she enjoyed gardening and cooking and was an avid reader. She had a true love for the beach. She was a member of Columbia Club, Indianapolis, and Blackford Golf Club.
Also surviving are her father, Eugene England, Silver Lake; her mother, Yvonne Sue England, Warsaw; a daughter, Laura L. Forbes, Colorado Spring, Colo.; three sons: Trevor S. Forbes and John Daniel Maddox (and friend Kelsey Cooper), both of Hartford City, and Timothy R. Maddox, Grand Rapids, Mich.; two brothers, Dennis and Kim England, both of Warsaw; a brother-in-law, Scott Shanley, Manchester, Conn.; two nephews, Chad England and Nicholas Shanley; and a niece, Kirsten Shanley. She was preceded in death by a sister, Vicki England.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Grace United Methodist Church, 312 S. Washington St., Hartford City, officiated by the Revs. Gary Hall and Lloyd Hall of the church. Entombment will be in Hartford City Cemetery on the Maddox family lot.
Calling is from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
