To Hold Lakeside Worship Service
AKRON – There's a communitywide men's Bible study group meeting on Saturday mornings at Egg Town Coffee in Mentone. Men from several area churches are participating and all are welcome. Breakfast is at 8 a.m. and the study starts at 9 a.m.
On Sunday, worship at Beaver Dam Community Church, 9798 W. CR 1000S, Akron, is at 8 a.m. at the Beaver Dam Lake boat launch (if raining a cancellation call will be made by 7:30 a.m.) or at 9:30 a.m. at church with coffee refreshments served from 9 to 9:30 a.m.
Burket To Hold Services
BURKET – Burket Bible Church welcomes everyone to its services. Sunday school starts at 9 a.m. and worship is at 10:15 a.m. The message this week by Pastor Mark Eastway is "The Unlikely Evangelist" from Galatians 2:11-17.
There is a men's community Bible study each Saturday at Egg Town Coffee in Mentone. Breakfast is at 8 a.m. and study starts at 9 a.m. The women's Bible study will meet Saturday at 9 a.m. at Egg Town Coffee.
Praise practice is Tuesday at 4 p.m. Fifth Sunday carry-in is on Aug. 30 following the worship service. All are welcome to join them for food and fellowship.
Claypool UMC To Hold SPARC
CLAYPOOL – Now that children have been to school 10 days, it’s time to start SPARC. The children will be walked from Claypool Elementary one block to Claypool United Methodist Church at 4 p.m. They will be fed, have Bible stories, music and games until 5:30 p.m.
On Sunday, there is Bible study for all ages starting at 9:30 a.m. Worship starts at 10:30 a.m. where Pastor Diane Quance will continue her series “Pressing On” with her sermon Sunday ”Pressing On by Looking Forward” from Philippians 3:12-14. They are told this sermon will change their attitude by looking forward to where Christ is leading us. You can view the worship hour live on Facebook (Claypool UMC, Indiana).The children will gather with Quance for kids chat before they go to junior church.
The praise team practices on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
Miller To Present Message
MENTONE – Mentone United Methodist Church invites the community to join them on Sunday at 10:15 a.m. Pastor Dana Miller will present the message, “A Plea For Help.” The scripture is Psalm 12:1-8.
They will celebrate food and fellowship with a churchwide carry-in after worship on Sunday. Bring your favorite dish to share and join in on the fun.
All are welcome at Mentone United Methodist Church. They offer an early bird adult Sunday school class at 9 a.m. before worship service at 10:15 a.m. They are at 116 E. Main St., Mentone.
