To Hold Lakeside Service
AKRON – There's a communitywide men's Bible study group meeting on Saturday mornings at Egg Town Coffee (formerly Java Jacks) in Mentone. Men from several area churches are participating and all are welcome. Breakfast is at 8 a.m. and the study starts at 9 a.m.
On Sunday, worship at Beaver Dam Community Church, 9798 W. CR 1000S, Akron, is at 8 a.m. at the Beaver Dam Lake boat launch (if raining a cancellation call will be made by 7:30 a.m.) or at 9:30 a.m. at church with coffee and refreshments served from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Mark Vice will perform at both services.
Miller To Present Message
MENTONE – Mentone United Methodist Church invites the community to join them on Sunday at 10:15 a.m. Pastor Dana Miller will present the message, “Who Should We Tell?” The scripture is Psalm 78:1-8.
The church will host the soup kitchen at Warsaw First United Methodist Church on Market Street Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
They will celebrate food and fellowship with a churchwide carry-in after worship Aug. 23. Bring your favorite dish to share and join in on the fun.
All are welcome at Mentone United Methodist Church. They offer an early bird adult Sunday school class at 9 a.m. before worship service at 10:15 a.m. They are at 116 E. Main St., Mentone. Community Bible Announces Services For This Week
Community Bible Church, 2947 S. County Farm Road, Warsaw, announced services for the upcoming week.
Sunday services start with Sunday school at 9 a.m., with worship at 10:15 a.m.
Wednesday prayer meeting is at 6 p.m.
On Sunday's service, there will be a special baptism service right after worship service, then a carry-in fellowship meal will follow. There will be no evening worship service.
Quance To Continue Sermon Series
CLAYPOOL – Claypool United Methodist Church would love to have the community join them at 105 S. Church St., Claypool, on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. They have Bible study for all ages and at 10:30 a.m., they have worship led by Pastor Diane Quance.
On Sunday, she will continue her series with “Pressing On Together.” Her sermon is titled “Just Leave It” taken from Matthew 5:23-24. She will teach them how to use time to practice empathy. They will be reminded they don’t go through the difficult challenges alone.
On Wednesday, the devotional group will meet at 4:30 p.m. for an hour. The praise team has practice and planning on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
On Aug. 20 at 4 p.m., they welcome school age students for SPARK.
Burket Bible To Hold Services
BURKET – Burket Bible Church welcomes everyone to its services. Sunday school starts at 9 a.m. and worship is at 10:15 a.m. The message this week by Pastor Mark Eastway is "The Amazing Job" from Job 19:25-27.
There is a men's community Bible study each Saturday at Egg Town Coffee in Mentone. Breakfast is at 8 a.m. and the study starts at 9 a.m. The women's Bible study meets the second and fourth Saturday mornings at 9 a.m. at Egg Town Coffee.
Praise practice is Tuesday at 4 p.m.
Sacred Heart To Hold Meal
The Sacred Heart Church August community meal will be offered in the gymnasium at Sacred Heart Church on Tuesday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. or until food runs out.
The meal this month will feature spaghetti and meat sauce, green beans, fruit cup, garlic bread and dessert. This month’s dinner is provided and served by the Knights of Columbus and Sacred Heart parishioners.
Carry-out meals for those who do not dine in start at 5:45 p.m. Carry-outs for those who do dine in start at 6 p.m.
There is no charge for the meal. All in the community are welcome.
