Christmas Open House In Mentone Saturday

MENTONE - Saturday, Dec. 6 is the Bell Aircraft Museum’s annual craft show from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mentone Fire Station, 201 W Main St.
Thirty vendors will be selling American doll clothes, paintings and hand-carved wood items by local artist Mike Yazel, Christmas decor, painted gourds, t-shirts, crocheted and knitted items, hand-crafted jewelry, Java Mama flavored coffee, health and beauty products, baked goods, handmade wooden boxes, bowls, Christmas trees, lanterns, cutting boards, decor, Tupperware, upcycled items, fabric bags, journals and more.
Lunch consisting of cheesy potato soup, sloppy joes, hot dogs, coney dogs, chips, pumpkin spice bars and drinks will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Also at the fire station, the Mentone Chamber of Commerce will be hosting Santa, who will have treats for all the kids and they can decorate a gnome cookie. Cookies and hot chocolate will be served.
There will be Christmas trees decorated by local groups and individuals on display. You can bid on the trees displayed and also on other silent auction items. You can vote for your favorite tree. Proceeds from the auctions helps the chamber give back to the community.
The Mentone United Methodist Church will be having a Christmas garage sale and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. or sold out. Baked goods prices are marked. Free-will donations will be accepted for Christmas garage sale items. Join them for lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Potato soup and chili, along with pie, will be available. Free-will donations will be received for lunch.
Stroll the streets of Mentone and visit the various shops that will be open.
