Cheryl Lynn Flohr Johnson Miller Terry

Posted
Cheryl Lynn Flohr Johnson Miller Terry, known by most simply as “Sherry,” passed away at 8:47 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, in Warsaw Meadows Care Center. She was 69 years old at the time of her passing.

Cheryl was born in Rochester on Aug. 10, 1948, to Russell Flohr and Margaret E. Brooks Flohr. Raised in the family home, she would eventually graduate from Akron High School.

Cheryl was known for her strong work ethic and made a living doing what she knew best — caring for others. She had worked in home health care for many years. She also worked for Grace Village in the dietary department and may be best known for her time spent at Warsaw Community High School as the “lunch lady.” Working in the school was a job she cherished as it gave her the ability to see her grandchildren through the day.

Cheryl loved her family and selflessly loved others, rarely knowing a stranger. She enjoyed shopping, reading, watching nature and many types of music. She loved her family and was a woman of great faith, attending Warsaw Community Church.

Surviving are three daughters: Stacey Miller, Warsaw; Jody (Darwin) Hurd, Warsaw; and Crystal Terry, Wabash; and adult grandchildren, Michele O’Hara, Winona Lake, and Austin Wadkins, Warsaw. In addition, she is survived by grandchildren: Zachary, Jacob, Alayzia, Tommy, Jameson, Landon, Grace and Clara; great-grandchildren, Kayden and Dani; her brothers, Ted (Carol) Flohr, Akron, and Sam (Wanda) Flohr, Rochester; a niece, Patsy Waymire, Akron; and many other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in passing by her sons, William “Duane” Johnson Jr. and Aaron Steven Miller; her husband, Tommy Miller; her parents; and several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, in Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan St., Warsaw.

A graveside service will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
