Charles H. "Charley" Thomas, 62, of Warsaw, died at 9:50 a.m. June 18, 2011, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
He was born Sept. 15, 1948, in Wolf Lake, to Ernest and Dorthea Burwell Thomas. On Dec. 13, 1980, in Warsaw, he married Susan Jordan, who survives.
He worked at Pepsi Co., Warsaw; Warsaw Foundry for eight years; and Dalton Foundry for 32 years, retiring as lead man in 2010. He was an avid NASCAR and Jeff Gordon fan and was a fisherman and wood worker.
Also surviving are three sons, Charley Thomas (and fiance Jenni) and Edward “Ed” Thomas, all of Warsaw, and Jeremy (and souse Angell) Thomas, North Manchester; a daughter, Janice (and spouse Bill) Hyde, Leesburg; two sisters, Annabelle Evans, Warsaw, and Ramona Hektor, Rochester; four grandchildren, Brandon Breece, Cody and Brookie Thomas and Austin and Braxton Hyde; and his father- and mother-in-law, William and Janet Hyde.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Chaplain Denny Bollenbacher and Ted Skeans officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
