Charles E. JarvisCharles E. Jarvis, age 75, passed away on May 27, 2022, in Tucson, Ariz.
Charlie was born on July 9, 1946, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Woodrow and Pauline Jarvis.
Charlie is preceded in death by his son, Dwayne Jarvis; and his parents, Woodrow and Pauline Burchett Jarvis.
He is survived by his daughter, Paula Haines and her husband Todd; his six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and his wife, Leslie.
Charlie worked at Zimmer for 30 great years, from 1971 to 2001. Charlie came to Indiana and married Betty Jo Hughes and had two children, Dwayne and Paula. On April 18, 1999, Charlie married his wife Leslie Davis in Gatlinburg, Tenn. In 2015, they moved from Indiana to Green Valley, Ariz., where Charlie spent seven happy years.
Charlie enjoyed auto racing all of his life, especially sprint car racing and NASCAR. He loved playing golf and became a Master Club Builder. He enjoyed horseback riding and camping with friends and family and he enjoyed spending time in Gatlinburg, Tenn., each year that they would go to celebrate their anniversary. They visited for 20 great years with friends and family.
Charlie will be lovingly missed by family and many friends that he had made through the years.
A celebration of life memorial is being planned for later this summer in Indiana.
