Charles ‘Charlie’ Richard Kaltenbach

Posted

Charles “Charlie” Richard Kaltenbach, of Warsaw, entered into eternal rest on Friday, Sept. 25, 2026, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, surrounded by family at the age of 82.
He was born on March 10, 1944, in Quincy, Ill., the son of Nicholas and Goldie McGae Kaltenbach.
Charlie was a devoted family man whose life was marked by love and a warm sense of humor. He married Sharon on Oct. 16, 1982, and remained deeply devoted to her throughout the years. They were always there for each other no matter what. Those who knew him will remember him as a jokester and prankster who could bring laughter to those around him, while also being a good listener whose presence offered comfort and understanding.
He worked as a maintenance supervisor in RV production in Goshen. Outside of work, Charlie found enjoyment in golf, woodworking and yardwork. He also loved traveling back to Quincy, Ill., to see family and had a home in Sebring, Fla. Music was another pleasure in his life, and he especially enjoyed listening to the Gaithers on the porch.
Charlie’s family was his greatest joy. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sharon Kaltenbach; by their children: Delena Kaltenbach (Harold), Pamela Jones (Darren), Jim Crenshaw (Deb), Chad Kaltenbach (Paul), Todd Pippenger (Sherri), Laura Campbell (Scott), Kim Hurd (Jeff) and Shawnee Greene; 27 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and by his siblings, Bill Kaltenbach and Virginia Graham. He also leaves behind the many memories shared with those he loved most, and the lasting impression of a man whose humor, attentiveness and devotion to family will not be forgotten.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Charles Kaltenbach Jr. and Garen Allen Kaltenbach; daughter, Kristina Blocher; and brother, Russell Kaltenbach.
Titus Funeral Home of Warsaw is entrusted with Charlie’s care. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 30 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. At 1 p.m., his funeral service will begin with Pastor Jonathon Spyres officiating. He will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery.
