AKRON - Charles A. Crippen, 81, of 2779 N. CR 600E, Rochester, died at 10:15 a.m. Feb. 21, 2008, in his residence.
He was born Aug. 17, 1926, in Cass County, to Daugherty K. and Marie Cornell Crippen. On June 2, 1946, in Grass Creek, he married Corabelle Kistler, who survives.
He was a dairy farmer until becoming the owner of Athens Oliver Implement Dealership in 1957. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Grass Creek High School.
Also surviving are two daughters, Kathleen (and spouse Bob) Sutton and Lorie (and spouse David) Hurst, all of Rochester; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son and two brothers.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, with the Revs. Phil Pratt and Junior Bose officiating. Burial will be at Richland Center Cemetery, Rochester.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
