Editor, Times-Union: Tom Metzger is acting like he’s this champion against the status quo in Washington (and apparently now Indianapolis), but in reality, he’s the biggest charlatan around. I can tell you that his hero, Adolf Hitler, didn’t end Germany’s Universal Health Care plans when the Nazis took power in Germany. In fact, the Nazis took it a step further and banned Jews from having coverage soon after they took power in 1933. By 1938, Jewish doctors were forbidden from even practicing medicine in Germany. Which, given his past, would probably be something that would be included in “Metzger-Care.” My guess is that Tom Metzger is only upset because he’s not in government and cannot propose the same exact thing that Mike Pence is doing. I also hope that Tom Metzger doesn’t smoke, because the Nazis were big anti-tobacco people. All I know is that he claims to be this freedom-loving hero against partisan politics.
