A Warsaw man is facing charges after police allege he pointed an AR-15 at a woman and refused to let her leave, according to Warsaw Police Department Capt. Kip Shuter.

Sloan John White, 34, of 2603 West Side Drive, Warsaw, faces one felony charge of intimidation with a deadly weapon.

The charge results from an incident on Feb. 15 that was reported to WPD May 18.

Police say White was distraught over accusations he was molesting a woman’s child. White allegedly put the gun to his chin and then pointed the gun at the woman when she attempted to call the police, Shuter said.

White allegedly held her at gunpoint for two minutes.

The alleged molestation is still under investigation, Shuter said.

A warrant was issued Monday and police arrested White Tuesday afternoon.

As of this morning, White was still in Kosciusko County Jail on a $10,250 bond.
