In a ceremony on Monday, March 11, Judge Karin McGrath welcome eight individuals into the ranks of the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) volunteers.
These dedicated volunteers are set to become steadfast voices for children, ensuring their best interests are represented in court, according to a news release from CASA.
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) are champions for children who have faced abuse or neglect, working tirelessly to ensure their safety, stability and well-being. With the support of CASA's state and local members, these volunteers are crucial in providing every child with the chance to find a loving, permanent home and the opportunity to thrive, the release states.
Local CASA programs play a vital role in this mission by recruiting, training and supporting volunteers who are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable children. If you feel inspired to become a CASA volunteer and be a beacon of hope for a child in need, CASA invites you to learn more. Spring classes start soon.
