HARTFORD CITY – Cary Wayne Needler, 72, Pierceton, died at 12:57 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at his residence.
He was born in Hartford City on March 22, 1947 to Ivan L. Needler and Betty Gardner Needler.
Cary is a Vietnam Veteran and served in the United States Marine Corp. Special Forces. He was awarded the Navy Cross, three Purple Hearts, Vietnam Medal and the Vietnam Honorary Cross of Gallantry with Palm.
He married Bessie Colene “Becky” Tuggle Needler on March 9, 1985, at Hartford City Wesleyan Church by the Rev. Lynn Bruce.
Cary will be cremated and a graveside service will be at a later date at the Marion National Cemetery in Marion.
Keplinger Funeral Home, Hartford City, is in charge of local arrangements.
