Carolyn Suzanne Mitchell passed away March 1, 2026.
She was born in Warsaw on Sept. 14, 1938, to Herbert and Mary Alice Shipley.
She was a 1956 graduate of Warsaw High School. For a number of years she worked as a bookkeeper for Silveus and Bradbury Oil Company.
Surviving is her husband of 62 years, Harry; sons, Thomas (Crystal), Indiana; and Kelley, Florida. She has four grandchildren, one stepgrandchild and six great-grandchildren. Her brothers, Lynn Shipley, of Warsaw; and Robert Shipley, Texas; also survive.
She spent her retirement years traveling the United States in their RV and resided in Fort Myers Beach, Fla., in the winter.
A celebration of life service will be held at Tri Lakes Baptist Church, 5679 N. Center St., Columbia City, on April 19 at 2 p.m.
