Carl Arnett, 86, of Pierceton, passed away at The Estelle Peabody Memorial Home in North Manchester on Jan. 18, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born on Nov. 24, 1939, in West Prestonsburg, Ky., he was the son of Corbin and Minerva Hackworth Arnett.
On May 24, 1963, in Celina, Tenn., he married his love, Joyce Gibson. When they started their life together he worked as a milkman. He then went on to work for Clausing Manufacturing until it closed. Carl then became the owner of Warsaw Muffler. He sold the business in 1998.
Carl was a member of the Harvest Community Church in Pierceton. He and Joyce would raise four children up knowing the love of Jesus. Carl was known to be very competitive. He enjoyed the game of golf and was an avid bowler. He had won many trophies over the years. He also loved anything having to do with cars.
Carl is survived by his children: Tina (Wayne) Burkhart, Kristi (Patrick) Higgins, Sherri (Chris) Shepherd, Staci (Jason) Sigler. Also surviving are Clyde (Becky) Arnett, Sue Johnson, Sandra (Ruben) Rose, Patty (Deno) Johnson, Greg (Donna) Arnett, Nancy (Will) Bentley, Joyce Hamman, Kathy Kemerly, Tim Arnett, Rick (Laura) Arnett, Debbie (Rick) Carter, 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce (2018); parents; two brothers, Claude and Paul; two sisters, Mildred and Cleo; and one grandson.
A visitation in Carl’s honor will be held on Thursday, Jan. 22 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Harvest Community Church, 512 S. 7th St., Pierceton. Services will follow at noon with Pastor Glenn Hall officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery.
