CARF International has awarded a three-year accreditation to Cardinal Services for the following services:
• Adult Day Services
• Behavior Consulting
• Community Living
• Employment Services
This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows Cardinal Services’ conformance to the CARF standards, according to a news release from Cardinal Services. To earn the accreditation, the agency participated in a rigorous peer review process, including a three-day virtual visit by a team of surveyors, to demonstrate its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable and of the highest quality. Cardinal Services has been accredited by CARF since 1993.
“CARF accreditation affirms our commitment to providing the best possible services for people with disabilities,” said Vickie Lootens, executive director of Cardinal Services. “Meeting the rigorous CARF standards shows that our team - from frontline staff to management to our board - is focused on the needs of the people we serve.”
The CARF survey report recognized Cardinal Services as “an essential part of the communities it serves” and described staff as “passionate about delivering person-centered planning and meaningful support services to help the persons served achieve their individual goals.”
CARF also awarded a three-year accreditation to Easterseals Arc of Northeast Indiana, which Cardinal Services is aligned with as part of the Easterseals Northern Indiana network.
Cardinal Services provides a full array of services to adults with intellectual disabilities and to families who have small children with needs.
