C. John Kehoe, 97, went home to be with his Lord and Savior at 5:40 p.m. Dec. 16, 2012, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. He was born March 14, 1915, in Sherwood, Mich., to Leo and Betty Smith Kehoe. On April 17, 1937, he married June Weiss, who died in January 1992. On Oct. 9, 1993, he married Maxine Pifer, who died Oct. 24, 2012. A lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, he graduated from Warsaw High School in 1933. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Warsaw. He achieved his 32nd degree as a Mason and was a member of Warsaw Masonic Lodge 3 and the National Guard. He was a foreman for Gast Construction for 30 years. He enjoyed his favorite sports events of golf, pro- football and pro-baseball with his favorite teams of the Cincinnati Reds and Indiana University Basketball teams. Surviving are three daughters, Dixie (and spouse Jim) Kraus and Connie (and spouse Bruce) Hayden, all of Warsaw, and Pam (and spouse Dick) Craig, South Bend; stepchildren, Steve (and spouse Lois) Pifer, Savannah, Ga., and Doug Pifer (and companion Kim) and Carolyn (and spouse Mike) Lutes, all of Warsaw; 15 fifteen grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a sister, Ethel Lou Goodrich, North Port, Fla.; and a brother, L. Edward (and spouse Connie) Kehoe, Warsaw. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 832 E. Center St., Warsaw, with Pastor Dave Hummel officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
