FORT WAYNE - Byron Eherenman Redinger, 93, died Aug. 20, 2010, at Kingston Care Center, Fort Wayne.

He was born in Mentone to William and Catherine Redinger. He married Ruby Redinger, who preceded him in death.

He attended Warsaw High School and graduated in 1934. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II and was a carpenter with Local 232, retiring in 1982.

He was a member of Lincolnshire Church of the Brethren, Southwest Conservation Club and American Legion Post 49, Warsaw, since 1946.

He is survived by a son, Bill (and spouse Debbie) Redinger, Saint Joe; two daughters, Mary Ebert and Laura LeMay, both of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, Fort Wayne. Graveside services with military honors will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Palestine Cemetery.

Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
