BUNKER HILL – Sophie Bussard scored 17 points and Sidney Wagner had 15 points as the Tippecanoe Valley girls basketball team won 54-31 Tuesday at Maconaquah.
The Lady Vikings led 11-8 after the first quarter, and broke open the game with a 19-point second quarter to take a 41-18 halftime lead.
Maconaquah (2-3) never challenged Valley’s lead in the second half.
The Lady Vikings (4-1) will host a tournament Saturday, and will begin play at 10:30 a.m. against Goshen.

Warsaw Wavers Against Penn
MISHAWAKA – The Warsaw girls basketball team lost a huge lead to fall 38-34 Tuesday at Penn.
The Lady Tigers led 29-12 before Penn closed the game on a 26-5 run.
The Lady Kingsmen outscored Warsaw 13-3 in fourth quarter for the victory.
Kaylee Patton led Warsaw (3-4) with 13 points and five assists, while Kacilyn Krebs added nine points.
Trinity Clinton scored 13 points for Penn (6-0), and Jordyn Smith scored 11.
Warsaw lost 43-25 in the JV game. Bailie Stephens led the Lady Tigers with 6 points.
Warsaw will play Saturday at 6 p.m. at New Castle.

BOURBON – The Triton girls basketball team lost 62-21 Thursday in a home game against NorthWood.
Triton struggled from the start, being outscored 13-0 in the first quarter and never threatening NorthWood’s lead after that.
Delanie Groves led the Lady Trojans (1-6) with nine points.
Triton won 26-25 in overtime in the JV game.
Abbey Viers scored the winning points on free throws.
The Lady Trojans will host the Triton Tournament Saturday.
They’ll start the day at 10 a.m. against Sheridan.

Lady Cougars Fall To North Miami
WINONA LAKE – Tori Calizo had nine points and 11 rebounds, but the Lakeland Christian girls basketball team lost 45-29 in a home game against North Miami.
Lakeland Christian’s Jessi Calizo added seven points, while Abigail Fishel scored six and Anna Reimink had five points, three assists and three blocks.
The Lady Cougars will play Tuesday at 6 p.m. at South Bend Community Baptist.
Lakeland Christian Topped By Caston
FULTON – Jake Harmon scored 20 points, but the Lakeland Christian boys basketball team lost 60-44 Tuesday at Caston.
The Cougars (0-1) were outscored in each quarter, despite scoring 21 points in the fourth.
All but two of Harmon’s 20 points came on three-pointers, while Trenton Parker added 12 for Lakeland Christian.
Cameron Kline had 15 points for Caston (1-0), while Mike Rans added 13.
Lakeland Christian will host Bethany Christian Tuesday at 6:15 p.m.
