NORTH WEBSTER - Buelah Mae Shear, 69, Syracuse, died at 3:30 a.m. Jan. 9, 2011, in her residence, from lung cancer.
She was born Nov. 29, 1941, in Syracuse, to George W. and Hazel Cowell Coquillard. On Nov. 29, 1958, in Syracuse, she married Glen W. Shear, who survives.
She was a lifetime Syracuse/North Webster area resident and attended Syracuse High School. She formerly worked at Syracuse Rubber Co. for seven years; Dytronics Factory, Leesburg; Kentucky Fried Chicken, Syracuse; and several area fast food restaurants. She was a former member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 253, North Webster.
Also surviving are a daughter, Tracy Johnston, Wakarusa; two sons, Tony Shear, New Haven, and Tim Shear, Syracuse; six grandchildren; a great-grandson; and three sisters, Hazel (and spouse Jim) Sawyer, Dunlap; Jessie (and spouse Don) Knafel, Ligonier; and Shirley (and spouse Burt) Borntrager, Winter Haven, Fla. She was preceded in death by a grandson, a sister and two brothers.
A graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at North Webster Cemetery (Mock Addition) with the Rev. Robert Jarboe officiating.
