NAPPANEE – Bryan Jarvis Carter, 82, Nappanee, died June 4, 2015, at his residence. He was born April 30, 1933, in Rutledge, Tenn., to Conley and Bessie McElhaney Carter. On Aug. 23, 1959 in New Paris, he married Diane Smeltzer, who also died June 4, 2015. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Union Center Church of Brethren, with the Revs. Frank Ramirez and Rhonda Dorn officiating. Burial is in Union Center Cemetery.
