Boyer Named Principal At Eisenhower ElementaryDuring Warsaw School Board’s meeting Monday, Superintendent Dr. David Hoffert announced the board hired a new Eisenhower Elementary principal.

The board also approved Lakeview Middle School’s interim assistant principal to be hired fully to the position.

Steven Boyer will be Eisenhower’s new principal. He graduated from Manchester College in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in English secondary education. He also has a master’s in education from Indiana Wesleyan University, and he completed a principal licensure program in 2013, according to a news release from the school corporation.

“We are very excited to welcome Mr. Steven Boyer as the principal of Eisenhower Elementary,” Hoffert said. “Mr. Boyer comes to Warsaw Community Schools with a wealth of experience in elementary curriculum and school leadership. While Mr. Gensinger’s shoes will be extremely hard to fill, Mr. Boyer is ready for the challenge of leading Eisenhower.”

Boyer taught as an English teacher at Lincoln Junior High School, Plymouth, from 2006 to 2012. He then served as assistant principal of Riverside Intermediate School, Plymouth, 2012 to 2014, and as principal of Menominee Elementary School, Plymouth, from 2014 to 2019.

“Warsaw Schools’ values and mission are what drew me to this community and Eisenhower Elementary,” Boyer said in the release. “I, too, believe every student has value, every student has something to contribute and learning is critical to all students’ future success and well-being. I am excited to work alongside a collaborative staff, families and the community to inspire and equip students with the knowledge and skill to pursue their dreams and enrich the lives of others. Together, we will sustain and advance excellence and ensure it is a school that all families are proud to send their children to.”

The school board also approved hiring Todd Braddock as the assistant principal of Lakeview Middle School. He had held the position on an interim level.

Braddock attended Indiana Wesleyan University, receiving a bachelor’s degree in social studies education. He also received a high ability certification from Ball State University, where he is currently pursing a master’s degree in education for educational administration.

Braddock began at Lakeview in August 2011, teaching seventh- and eighth-grade geography and U.S. history.

“We are very pleased to announce Mr. Todd Braddock as the assistant principal of Lakeview Middle School,” Hoffert said. “Mr. Braddock was named the interim assistant principal during the 2018-2019 school year. He excelled in his role. Braddock is a Warsaw native that has a deep love for our community and students. His commitment to create positive relationships with teachers, students and the community is evident in the way he carries himself professionally. We are blessed to have him as a leader in WCS.”
