Bonnie Shafer, 86, Warsaw, passed away at 2:48 a.m. June 5, 2015, at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. She was born Jan. 12, 1929, in Argos, to Roy and Lois Arter Hubbard. On Sept. 24, 1949, in Akron, she married Paul Shafer, who preceded her in death. She was a Kosciusko County resident since 1963. She retired from Kosciusko County treasurer’s office as a clerk. She is survived by a daughter, Paula (and spouse Greg) Dearborn, Warsaw; a son, Rick (and spouse Robin) Shafer, Warsaw; three grandchildren: Vanessa Shafer, Warsaw; Colin Shafer, Milford; and Dustin Dearborn, Union Grove, Wis.; and a sister, Virginia Surguy, Warsaw. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a granddaughter. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Pastor Jeff Pfeifer officiating.
