Bobbie Jean Hughes, 61, of 5179 W. Ind. 14, Silver Lake, died at 10:15 a.m. Oct. 17, 2011, in her residence.
She was born April 30, 1950, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Charlie and Nancy Ousley Johnson.
A resident of Kosciusko County for the past 48 years, she moved to the area with her parents from Prestonsburg in 1963. She attended First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County, Claypool.
Surviving are a son, Charles (and spouse Patrisha) Hughes, Silver Lake; three grandchildren; two brothers, Floyd (and spouse Reva) Johnson and Melvin (and spouse Jan) Johnson, all of Silver Lake; and two sisters, Lurannie Hoskins and Lourena (and spouse Fred) Helton, all of Warsaw. She was preceded in death by a brother.
Service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County, Claypool, with Pastor Terry Bradford officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Silver Lake.
Calling is from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the church.
