Editor, Times-Union:

I just read a letter to the editor called "Double Standards" that was well written and done in a very tasteful way. As luck would have it, Bob Conley was quoted by the Times-Union on why our county was not put under a "State Of Emergency" on the same day. This gave the residents of Kosciusko County an opportunity to compare the commissioner and his opponent from last year's primary race on real-life problems that you and I face daily.

Mr. Fussle understands the problem that our county is having with meth and also points out a little double talk. Mr. Conley and company fails to see a dangerous situation and does nothing. He does, however, want to blame the media for using "scare tactics" and has an issue with a reader who wants to know why we are not under a state of emergency status like most of the other counties. I guess the snow drifts and the white out conditions were not real, right, Mr. Conley?

I agree that most people know when to stay off the roads but some do not, and the order should have been given. He also said that they (the commissioners) "didn't want to tell us what to do." I'm sorry, Mr. Conley, but that's what we pay you to do. When the residents of this county are in danger from the weather and or road conditions we need someone to lead us.

You have shown us that you can't or won't be a leader and should not be making the decisions to keep us safe. The voters made a mistake when they elected you the first time, and a bigger one when they did it the second time.

Mr. Fussle, please do not give up and run against him again, I don't think the voters will make the same mistake again. Elections matter, lack of leadership could be costly, it might even cost you a family member. When the time comes to vote, let's vote the incompetent bum out, and vote Mr. Fussle in. It's past time for some common sense.
