ST. MICHAELS, Md. – Independent recording artist, producer and multi-instrumentalist Mark Gadson, formerly of Warsaw, has partnered with former Nashville musician, singer-songwriter and recording artist Gerry Devine to release “Blue Jean Lady,” a new country rock single.
The single was released Friday on all major music distribution and streaming platforms or directly from the artists on BandCamp.
Built around guitar work, strong vocals and a groove, “Blue Jean Lady” blends classic country rock influences with modern production and live musicianship. Devine’s lead vocals and guitar performances deliver the song’s pulse, while Gadson performed and recorded the piano, organ, bass and drum tracks that form the foundation of the recording, according to a provided news release.
Harmony vocals were provided by Joyce Gauthier and Dave Moore.
“This song was created to bring energy, movement and excitement to listeners,” said Gadson. “Gerry brought tremendous spirit and authenticity to the vocals and guitar tracks, and the collaboration came together naturally from our shared appreciation for strong country rock songwriting and performance. The beautiful harmony vocals by Joyce Gauthier and Dave Moore were icing on the cake.”
“Blue Jean Lady” showcases a full-band sound rooted in live instrumentation and musical chemistry. The song reflects the artists’ combined experience in songwriting, arranging, studio production and performance, stated the release.
