Billy Joe Newsome, 75, went home to be with his Lord at 2:30 p.m. May 25, 2011. He was born April 21, 1936, in Pike County, Ky., to Algar and Gertie Alice Justice Newsome. On Oct. 21, 1963, he married the love of his life, Wanda Jeanette Mullins, who survives. He loved to bowl, go to breakfast with Richard and to work in the yard. He was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan. He loved playing with his grandchildren and his little dog Angel. He will be sadly missed by his vast family and a host of friends and neighbors. Also surviving are a daughter, Jewel Craft; two granddaughters, Staci Marie Flowers and Jessica Rani Craft; two great-granddaughters, Alexis Anne Marie Craft and Zoey Rani Peterson; two great-grandsons, Prince Calbe Michael Flowers and Cayden Anthony Flowers; a brother, A.D. Newsome, Myra, Ky.; and his best friend, Richard (and spouse Monica) Zehner. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor William Whitaker officiating.
