Bill Slone, 79, of Claypool, passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021, at 6:30 a.m. in Kosciusko Community Hospital.
Born April 5, 1942 in Blue River, Ky., Bill was the son of Lewis and Allie Slone Slone. He was united in marriage to Lois Blanton on Sept. 25, 1961, in Warsaw.
He worked as a forklift operator for Dalton Foundries for a total of 53 years.
Bill is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lois Slone; children, Lori (Dan) Yeiter, Kathy Slone, Tim (Stacie) Slone, Keith Slone; sister, Janice (Carlos) Hall; 15 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and nine brothers.
A visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 29 at New Hope Baptist Church, Warsaw. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 30 at the church. Pastors David Cripe and Terry Bradford will be officiating the services. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake.
