SYRACUSE - Beverly Jane Hamman, 82, of North Webster, died at 12:12 p.m. July 26, 2008, in her residence.

She was born Sept. 12, 1925, in Churubusco, to Rollin and Marcelle Smith Gray. On Sept. 27, 1944, she married Albert Junior Hamman, who survives.

Living in this area most of her life, she formerly worked at Farmers State, Counting House and Lake City banks, all in North Webster. She was a member of North Webster United Methodist Church; Moose Lodge 1047, Goshen; Eastern Star; and Knitting Together Club, North Webster, and a member and past president of North Webster American Legion Post 253 Ladies Auxiliary for more than 60 years.

Also surviving are three daughters: Jacquelynn (and spouse Jerry) Smith, Leesburg; Kathryn Sue (and spouse Morton E.) Berry, Florence, Mont.; and Robin Marie (and spouse Curt) Foster, San Diego, Calif.; eight grandchildren: Lisa (and spouse Steve) Light; Shelly (and spouse Mark) Alber; Keith Smith; Jennifer (and spouse Rick) Reagan; Bryan (and spouse Kerri) Berry; Kim (and spouse Jason) Herndon; and Matthew and Jill Foster; 14 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Barbara Coy Leedy, North Webster, and Betty Remke, Fort Wayne.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, Syracuse, with the Rev. David Smitley officiating. Burial will be in North Webster Cemetery.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
