Betty Philpot Leek, 57, went to be with her Heavenly Father at 5:39 a.m. June 12, 2013, in her Warsaw residence. She was born April 8, 1956, to James and Mary Philpot, who preceded her in death. On May 27, 1977, she married Joe Leek, who survives. She was a longtime employee of United Telephone Co. and in later years was a consultant to JRZ Industries. She was a quiet, unassuming lady of great character, strength and courage. She fought cancer for 13 years while maintaining dignity, grace and compassion for others. She loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed by her husband Joe; a son, Ryan (and spouse Lindsey); a grandson, Parker; and a brother, Jamie “Jim” Philpot (and fiancé Jodie Schelmadine).
